Spring Camping Trip
Georgia Veteran's State Park
March 17-19, 2017
REGISTER HERE for a wonderful weekend trip sponsored by the Fun and Fellowship team from Saint Paul's!
No prior camping experience is necessary. You must supply your own tent, bedding, Friday dinner and Sunday lunch. You may want to bring your bikes and helmets for under 16 too. We can provide you with a list of suggested camping pack list if you are a novice.
The camping fee covers camp entrance fees, the cost of the campsite, All Saturday and Sunday morning's meals. Each family will share a campsite with another family. $30 per person, max $80 per family. Or, plan to join us for the day -- $5 per person per meal.
We practice communal camping. Everyone is expected to pitch in and help with their camp assignments, such as grocery shopping, transporting trailers, cooking, serving, kitchen clean up, or camp set up or break down. This allows everyone the opportunity to have some down time and have a positive camping experience.
Check in time is 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Check out time is 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. Our sites have been reserved, but you can reserve a site through the park system if you want to extend your stay.
We can accommodate 18 camping families. Once we have reached maximum capacity, we will start a waiting list. Payment will hold your spot!
** PAYMENTS MUST BE RECEIVED BY MONDAY, March 13, 2017**

Established as a memorial to U.S. veterans, this park features a museum with aircraft (including a Boeing B-29A), armored vehicles, uniforms, weapons, medals and other items from the Revolutionary War through the Gulf War. An 18-hole golf course and pro shop, along with 8,700-acre Lake Blackshear and proximity to I-75, make this one of Georgia’s most popular state parks.
A sandy swimming beach is the perfect place to cool off during Georgia summers. The Lake Blackshear Resort and Golf Club is a professionally operated conference center with 78 lodge rooms, 10 cottages and 2 restaurants. The SAM Shortline Excursion Train runs through the park on its way from Cordele to Plains, allowing riders to see an antique telephone museum, Habitat for Humanity’s Global Village, President Jimmy Carter’s boyhood farm and other attractions along the journey.Make reservations for lunch and dinner cruises on Lake Blackshear.
